A native of Franklin, Louisiana, Paul graduated from Franklin High School. Immediately after graduating, Paul joined the United States Army as a 31C. At the ripe age of 18, Paul knew he wanted to be a part of the technology industry.
“I have always gravitated towards technology which was why I chose a job in the Army that would allow me to explore technology.”
After Paul left the military, he joined Anixter in 1995 and then continued on to Lucent Technologies in 1997. On July 1st, 1999, Paul joined Cisco Systems and was a Key Account Manager for 14 years. After 25 years in the field of technology, Paul still expects great things in the future.
“As more and more customer are asked to do more with less, we’ll see them move aggressively towards cloud based services.”
Paul states that technology has come full circle over his years in the field.
“It all started with main frames and terminals and then the industry changed to be driven by computers and more of a client server environment. And here we are now with virtual desktops and moving towards a terminal, mainframe environment.”
Paul hopes that Transformyx can devise products and services that customers will see value in.
“Any time you have a market in transition, there is opportunity. If Transformyx positions itself accordingly, we will capture a fair share of the market.” When Paul isn’t working he enjoys salt-water fishing and spending time with his wife of 14 years, Amy, his five children and their black Golden-Doodle, Jewels. Paul’s 20-year-old son, Blaine, is following closely in his father’s footsteps as a Junior SE for another technology firm here in Louisiana. “I started off in my career at the same time that technology was coming to a forefront in the world we know today. I’m pleased that years later I can pass down a love for technology to others in my family.” Paul has received been the recipient of awards throughout his career. A few of which are as followed:
