Transformyx's hosted Microsoft OCS 2007 solution gives your business secure instant messaging, presence and unified communications. Microsoft OCS 2007 is available as a stand-alone application or as an add-on to Transformyx hosted Exchange Service.

OCS 2007 offers companies business-grade instant messaging that features secure IM and user presence. While most companies have email systems they can archive and track, many still use non-secure instant messaging systems. Often unknown and untracked by IT or management, public IM systems open a business to serious legal and security risks.

Hosted OCS provides a secure and professional alternative for instant messaging and unified communications. Benefits include:
  • Free/busy status – integrated Users can see whether colleagues are available, away, busy or offline. It integrates with Outlook, SharePoint and the desktop client Office Communicator. So if a user has a meeting from 10am to 11am in their calendar, they will automatically display as “busy” in Office Communicator during this time.
  • Collaborate easily with desktop sharing and video conferencing. Colleagues can get everyone on the same page by having a virtual meeting where they can view the same information at the same time. OSC allows you to share control of your desktop with another colleague for more active collaboration, enabling you and a remote colleague to work together on documents, presentations and spreadsheets as if you were sitting side-by-side at the same desk. Users can also video conference with another colleague.
  • Group IM chat. Teams can chat easily as a group via IM.
  • Conversations are saved. Office Communications Server lets users save and search all IM conversations inside Outlook, just like their email.
  • Missed IM conversations. Never miss another IM. Missed IM’s are sent to users via email.
  • Secure and private. Secure instant messaging allows users to send messages with end-to-end encryption so sensitive information is never at risk of being hacked.
  • OCS mobility with BlackBerry or Windows mobile smartphone. Users can engage in secure instant message conversations from their BlackBerry or Windows mobile smartphones to colleagues working at their desks. The solution goes beyond basic wireless email synchronization to better connect mobile and remote employees with their offices for increased collaboration and productivity.
  • Integrated in Outlook Web Access 2010. For accounts on hosted Exchange 2010, OCS is built right in to Outlook Web Access.
  • Higher productivity PC-to-PC file transferring functionality allows instant document-sharing, increasing productivity and efficiency. PC to PC voice and video calls increase communiction and workflow between employees.
